Impact Statement
Our Mission: To make zero-waste living accessible, enjoyable and convenient for all individuals and businesses.
Every empty bottle thrown away is a missed opportunity. We're here to change that.
At Replenished, we're driven by a simple truth: the products you love shouldn't come at the planet's expense. We're disrupting throwaway culture by making zero-waste living not just possible but effortless and enjoyable.
Single-use packaging creates mountains of waste, contributes to climate emissions, and fuels plastic pollution. We've built the solution – a fully integrated reuse system that makes single-use obsolete.
We have three goals which drive all we do;
Impact Goals

To Protect and Replenish our Planet
The environment is our first consideration, and we want to tip the balance in favour of the planet so we give back more than we take. We do this by following the below criteria;
- Prevent: Every reused bottle means one less manufactured, shipped, and discarded
- Reduce: Our system minimises emissions through consolidated deliveries and efficient processing
- Remove: We go beyond zero by actively working to remove legacy plastic from our environment
We believe reuse is the most powerful step after reducing consumption. Packaging becomes an asset to cherish rather than waste to discard through our circular system.
Why it Matters
Millions of perfectly good containers are thrown away daily – bottles, sprays, jars, and capsules that could have many more lives ahead. Most are incinerated or downcycled rather than truly recycled.
You deserve to enjoy the products you love without compromise or guilt. That's why we've designed a system where any product, regardless of category, can be delivered without creating waste.
Every subscription means fewer bottles in landfills, less plastic in oceans, and reduced carbon emissions. Together, we're proving that convenience and sustainability can exist in perfect harmony.
We Measure What Matters
We establish yearly and five-year targets to guide our progress.
Our five-year goals are ambitious and designed to challenge us, and we are committed to achieving them. These goals align with the climate net-zero targets for 2030 and 2050.
As a company focused on sustainability, we assist our partners in reaching their objectives through our reuse framework. Rather than simply offsetting emissions, we strive to eliminate them, making a tangible difference toward a company’s goal of reducing emissions by 90% by 2050.
We are aligning our goals with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a particular focus on Section 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
We are committed to reporting our progress and achievements towards these goals at the end of each year. This report will be available on our website.
Our Sustainable Philosophy
- Sustainability is a Journey: We meet customers where they are, recognising that everyone starts from a different place.
- Guide, Don't Judge: We provide solutions, not preaching, making sustainable choices accessible to all.
- Supply Without Compromise: Deliver sustainable alternatives that match or exceed conventional options.
- Simplicity With Minimal Friction: Make each step as easy as possible whilst maintaining just enough engagement to encourage habit formation.
- Open to All: Our systems are designed to work across all product categories and brands.
- Value in Packaging: Using premium materials builds connection and encourages reuse.
Sustainable Supply
Customer Engagement for Sustainability
By putting customers at the centre of our reuse system, we considered the best ways to provide reuse. We identified the barriers that must be addressed to encourage continuous reuse. Listening, engagement, and convenience are crucial for building a sustainable reuse ecosystem that minimises waste.
Why Subscriptions are Essential to Reuse for Sustainability
Our research found that factors such as product usage frequency, the distance to return points, the availability of choices, and customer engagement are critical for success. Subscriptions emerged as an ideal solution for both homes and small businesses. This approach allows us to drive change while providing customers with a simple and convenient experience. Personalising the process reduces the likelihood of losing customers and their potential return to single-use products.
In supplying businesses, we found the best fit with those with repeat customers or repeat product usage. Delivering a reuse system into businesses without this is beyond our current scope. Our long-term mission is to make it accessible for all, and we will do this through partnerships and collaboration.
Personalised Choice
We want to transform how people shop and how stores supply products. With so many options and limited free time, we can make shopping personal again. We aim for customers to feel like they are in their favourite store, where the staff knows them and has the products they love and desire.
Our goal is for every customer to feel special. Instead of overwhelming them with too many choices, we will offer curated options for each reorder.
By continuously learning about our customers, we aim to exceed their expectations by delivering what they love. This approach allows us to provide choices without confusion, avoid unwanted stock, encourage a commitment to reuse and minimise long-term waste.
Sustainability Policy
A Sustainability FIRST Business
We don't just promote sustainability – we've built our entire business around it.
Sustainability is ingrained in every part of our business. From packaging to processing to logistics. We continually strive to improve our efficiency and reduce waste to make a more significant and lasting impact.
Our sustainability policy is all about transparency about how we operate and the best practices we follow. This is our commitment, which we and our partners take seriously. We might share a lot and let our competitors in on sustainable secrets, but we genuinely believe in being open. If our openness inspires others to take action, we can spread sustainability far beyond our actions!
Eliminating and Reducing Waste
We have three key goals: Zero Waste, Zero Plastic Pollution, and Zero Emissions.
These are all forms of waste we eliminate by taking responsibility for our services and products throughout their entire lifespan, from the moment of creation to their end of life. By embracing this full responsibility, we can effectively manage our impact and contribute to building a cleaner, greener future.
We view waste in three critical areas;
1. By-product waste - including emissions, rubbish and transportation.
2. Operational waste - including energy, storage space, products and time.
3. Consumer waste - any waste created at the consumer's home or workspace, including packaging, unwanted products and excess supply.
Sustainable Operations
- Green Energy: Our factory runs entirely on renewable power – solar panels and green electricity with zero fossil fuels on-site.
- Energy Efficient - We use light colours, reflective surfaces and have several rows of clean skylights throughout the factory, allowing plenty of natural light. Our cladding incorporates layers of insulation, which helps to reduce the need for artificial lighting and heating. Additionally, the factory is fully equipped with LED lighting.
- Water Conservation: Our cleaning systems recycle water through multiple stages, using high-powered jets that provide thorough cleaning with minimal consumption
- Lean Manufacturing: We continuously improve our processes to eliminate waste in every form – materials, time, energy, and space
- Demand-Led Production: No stockpiling or overproduction. Our subscription model enables precise, just-in-time manufacturing that eliminates waste from minimum order requirements.
- Standardised Packaging: By using consistent bottle shapes and sizes, we maximise machinery efficiency and can fill to capacity
Sustainable Packaging
Packaging is a crucial part of our process, and we carefully consider all our packaging choices. Our mission is to ensure that all packaging can be reused and is 100% recyclable at the end of its life, promoting true circularity.
We concentrate on two main areas of packaging: transit and containers.
Sustainable Containers
Our packaging choices are guided by rigorous criteria:
- Durability: Containers must withstand multiple reuse cycles
- Customer Engagement: Products must be recognisable and encourage returns
- Functionality: Easy to use, refill, and process
- Circularity: 100% recyclable at end-of-life
- Standardisation: Compatible with our processing systems
- Lifetime Emissions: Total emissions created over the complete lifecycle
- Safe & Hygienic: It is essential for us to clean and sanitise the packaging during each process cycle.
After extensive research, we've chosen glass and stainless steel as our primary materials. While glass requires significant energy to produce initially, its infinite recyclability, superior durability, and efficient processing make it ideal for our circular system. The glass industry is also rapidly electrifying its furnaces, enabling renewable energy use in manufacturing.
Emissions vs Other Criteria
We prioritise emissions, aiming for Zero Emissions as a key goal. We consider lifetime emissions, which include manufacturing, recycling, and remanufacturing. While glass has high energy usage, it is still the best choice for reusable packaging compared to plastic. Glass requires fewer resources for processing and eliminates the risk of micro bacteria that can occur in plastic without proper drying. It's about finding the right balance and accepting good enough while striving for perfection.
Sustainable Transit Packaging
Our Replenished Delivery Bag (we are pretty proud of this!
From the beginning, we believed that for reuse to be effective, it must take place at the customer's home or workplace. Inspired by services like Uber Eats and Deliveroo and those brave individuals delivering goods on bikes along busy roads. We conceived of a bag that would be intuitive for customers to repack, work through any courier system, and be infinitely reusable.
As a first-of-its-kind, our Replenished Reuse Delivery bag protects multiple products without single-use materials for home deliveries. No boxes stuffed with paper or foam Wotsits – just a well-designed reusable bag that can be returned hundreds of times, cleaned, and repaired as needed.
Although resources are invested in its creation, it saves time and materials with every use, from reduced packaging and less time spent filling. One significant benefit is that it promotes reuse and encourages sustainable habits, supporting the movement and generating positive word of mouth.
